After exploring the significant barriers to learning experienced by many Somali children, this moving video documents an EDC program that provides an opportunity for thousands of them to get a quality basic education: the Somali Interactive Radio Instruction Program (SIRIP). The film visits Somali schools and camps for internally displaced persons, illustrating how children learn despite the conflict taking place in their country. The radio programs Somali music and the childrens books created through SIRIP are also featured.
