Under USAID’s Africa Education Initiative, a feasibility study was undertaken by the Educational Quality Improvement Program Leader-with-Associates Award to assess the potential for development of a West African Sesame Street model to improve early childhood and early primary education through the use of multi-media information technology. The study focused on four countries: Benin, Ghana, Nigeria, and Senegal. EDC took the lead in executing the feasibility study in ongoing consultation with Sesame Workshop and American Institutes for Research.
