Selected Integrated Reading Activity (USAID/SIRA) is a 5-year project that seeks to improve reading outcomes for Malian students in grades one and two in the predominantly bamanankan-speaking regions of Segou, Sikasso and Koulikoro. This activity will also reinforce and strengthen the Government of Mali/Ministry of Education’s capacity in select delivery systems in a manner that fosters sustainability. USAID/SIRA has three intermediate results: (1) classroom early grade reading instruction improved, (2) service delivery systems in early grade reading improved, and (3) parent, community, and private support for early grade reading increased.
