Multichannel Learning

People learn in various ways and through various means. The paths, or channels, that connect learners to knowledge and skills are numerous: teachers and facilitators, other learners, family and community members, educational materials, and media of all kinds. We believe that successful learning is more likely when more than one channel is used.

IDD designs and implements multichannel learning systems to address the educational needs and resources of its clients. To ensure that clients can independently sustain new systems, IDD programs capitalize on existing systems, limit cost, and build the skills of those who use and benefit from the programs.

A hallmark of our multichannel learning efforts is to find ways to provide learning resources for those who lack—or who have been denied—access to education.
