In rural areas of Zambia, beyond the reach of radio waves and the power grid, community school teachers are benefiting from collaborative, engaging professional development in their own school thanks to an EDC initiative using MP3 players. In addition to providing Interactive Radio Instruction (IRI) lessons to areas beyond the reach of radio reception, these video-capable MP3 players deliver locally produced teacher resources to primary teachers.
