This multimedia CD allows users to experience a host of creative education activities conducted in 30 countries over the past six years. Sponsored by USAID, these projects featured information and communications technology (ICT) applications that expanded and deepened the quality of learning in the developing world. USAID invested over $100 million towards these 25 projects and 18 pilot initiatives, known collectively as “dot-EDU.” Watch and listen to educational innovations that are as diverse as the countries themselves—ranging from interactive radio instruction for teachers and students in Southern Sudan to online student-centered teacher training in Peru.
Transforming Learning: Experiences with Education and Technology Around the World takes a closer look at what was learned through the dot-EDU activities. The CD examines common themes across projects, and also highlights specific technology applications and their impacts. The “bonus tracks” section includes project profiles and a selection of educational songs and audio lessons.
