Educational Videos
The T4 project has produced a series of 60 video programs in Kannada and Hindi targeted at grades 4 and 5 that respond directly to identified ‘hard spots’ in the primary education curriculum in Mathematics, Science and History. These 30-minute programs have undergone a rigid development process, which includes formative evaluation and pilot implementation.
The educational videos include these features:
- Target a dual audience: students and teachers
- Provide students with interesting lessons on a variety of subject matters
- Train teachers through instructional guidance and showing examples of teaching methods
- Show examples of project-based learning: students engaged in simple, fun, innovative and interactive group learning projects, both inside and outside the classroom
- Demonstrate creating and using local teaching tools from easy-to-obtain resources
- Show examples of teachers as facilitators guiding groups of students to work together towards common learning goals
