SSA– Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan (SSA), Karnataka has collaborated effectively towards improving the quality of education in the government schools with a focus on the girl child and the marginalized sections of society. In collaboration with SSA, IRI programs- Chukki Chinna (for classes 3, 4 and 5) Chinnara Chukki (for classes 1 and 2) are implemented across government primary schools in the state. Also, 40 educational video films developed by EDC are being telecast through EDUSAT.

Department of State Education Research Training (DSERT) State government agency that works closely with EDC in all areas of decision making related to educational videos, radio programs and GTL as well as houses the studios set up by EDC.

Karnataka State Trainers’ Collective (KSTC) –NGO that focuses on training. KSTC organized the teacher’s orientation program in all three initial pilot areas. At present, they are also involved in monitoring and evaluation for the dot-EDU phase 2 projects. The proposed evaluation activities in Karnataka will be conducted in five districts of the state where the project is being implemented, viz, Bidar, Chikkodi, Mandya, Chamarajanagar and Chikmagalur.

The Teacher Foundation – NGO that works in the area of academic support and training of teachers and teacher educators. It had conducted evaluation on qualitative measures for the project, prepared training modules and conducted teacher trainings in the T4 project areas.

Madhyam – NGO focused on helping street kids and the most vulnerable. It helps them to learn life skills and to enroll in schools. Madhyam initially worked in building awareness through street plays and had also done the audio production for the Chukki Chinna IRI program in Karnataka.

University of Mysore – The Department of Library and Information Sciences hosted the digital library prototype. Dr. Urs the head of the Department was the lead consultant on this project and her technical staffs were included in content, updating and maintaining the digital library.
